It is just a fact that that all doggies will chew on something in their life-time. It is a question of how much. What can we do about it?

Things You Can Do To Minimize The Chewing:

His living space is everything, so you must definitely doggy proof your house somewhat. Consider dogs on the same caliber of destruction as a toddler and proof the house with that mindset. Easy!

And just one crucial thought, nobody enjoys being left alone for long durations and no dog does either. Please get him a friend if you need to be away frequently.

Some Other Things To Consider:
If you catch your dog chewing one of your favorite belongings, use the interrupt and redirect method. If you do this everytime without getting angry, your pup will learn soon!

Just Interrupt her when you catch her in the act.  Say ‘No’ firmly.  And try not to shout her name because we want her name to be associated with pleasant memories.

Then redirect her to one of her ‘on-limits’ items. With solid consitency, this will cause her to figure out that certain things are off limits and her chew toys are fair game.
